Charming Early 20thc Box for Doll Display - Girl with Puppies - image 1 of 12

What a delightful box for your doll display or trousseau!

This early 20th century box is probably French or German. I found it at a German flea market. The box is constructed of stapled pasteboard covered with glazed white paper around the sides. The lid is decorated with a sweet chromolithograph printed on textured paper of a young girl holding two puppies. It measures 3 ½” x 5 ¼”, a perfect size for a piece of doll clothing or accessory.

The box is in good condition for its age. There are two little water spots on side corners of the lid and a small break on one edge of the bottom but the lid still fits snugly. Please examine the photos and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

While you are here, do enjoy the other small boxes I have available for sale at this time. Thank you for visiting my shop today.
