Hummel #58/0, "Playmates", TMK 6

This 4” high Hummel figurine is in MINT condition. It bears TMK #6 (Missing Bee) having been produced Circa 1979 -1989 but created by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1936 and originally known as “Just Friends”. This has its original box and is signed by the artist!

Sister Maria had a love of children and sketched them in various situations. This charming, precious little boy is playing with his bunnies in their basket. A feather in his hat, rosy checks, a hole in his shoe and his bandana flowing in the breeze! An extremely colorful and detailed porcelain figurine and made by the fabulous craftsmen at the Goebel factory.

There is such beautiful detail in this hand painted figure - so typical of the quality of Goebel's porcelain figurines.
