This is a lovely "Country House" and landscape with a wooden bridge by Impressionist painter, Rudolph Eicher.
Rudolph Eicher (1884-1958), Oil on Canvas Circa 1940s-1950s
The painting is full of beautiful Cerulean Blue, Thalo Green, Burnt Umber, Yellow Ochre, and Alizarin Crimson( a bit in the clouds-pink tones) The colors are clear and colorful. Like a Spring Day in the Country! This is a Gorgeous Painting.
The painting's overall measurement is 41.5" wide by 29.5" in height, this is with the frame.
Canvas alone is 36" wide x 24" height
The wire hanger is secure.
The painting came from an Estate in Michigan. The painting hung in the living room of their home. It is in really good shape. There is no paint loss, and the brush strokes are thick and intact. I cleaned it with just a light dry brushing to remove the dirt and dust. I have not oiled the frame but it needs some polishing. The frame is solid carved wood. Remarkably, there is only one area where the wood is chipped and that is on the bottom edge of the frame. It's in really good condition for its age.
