So rare to find Marcel Boucher complete sets and this one is just stunning. The Art Deco swirl design reminds me of waves of crystals. Emerald Green baguettes and crystal rhinestones in the necklace, bracelet and matching clip earrings. The earrings are signed: one with Boucher and one with the inventory number 5753. A Circa 1950s set in excellent vintage condition.
Measures: Necklace 16.5 x .5 inches; Bracelet: 7 x .5 inches; Clip ER: 1.25 inches
A true costume jewelry master, Marcel Boucher originally worked in fine jewelry, working for Cartier for a time. After exploring fine jewelry and fashion accessory design, Boucher started his own costume jewelry line in 1937 and might be best known for his "exotic birds" pieces for major Fifth Avenue department stores. Later joined by Sandra Semensohn, who eventually also became his wife, the Boucher firm continued to produce high-fashion jewelry until it was sold to Davorn Industries in 1970.
