For sale is a wonderful antique Victorian needlepoint depiction of a tabby cat resting on a fancy cushion that I acquired from a sale in New York state. It is housed in a wonderful, and I believe the original faux painted frame which still retains its original wavy glass. The framed piece measures about 17" x 13 1/2" with sight measurements of 14" x 10 1/2". It is in nice antique condition, with some water toning at the bottom, but no missing stitches. The frame shows minor age appropriate wear, but no significant issues, and the piece displays very well. It should also be noted that the needlepoint was removed from the frame, and acid free backing was added, as well as, of course, a new paper backing. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions.
