For sale is an antique 19th century photograph of a woman that I acquired at a sale in Hailey, Idaho, which is considered the Sun Valley area. The woman is sitting in a chair, and is wearing a dark button-down dress with a high neck inset lace collar, and she has on what looks like a lariat style necklace. She has a purse in her left hand as well. The photo is housed in an embossed metal, copper, I believe, frame with American flags on the top corners, a drum in the lower left corner, a cannon in the lower right corner, and the words "The Union Now and Forever" also at the bottom. On the back, there is information about the maker of the photo, who apparently copied daguerrotypes and ambrotypes. The framed photo measures about 2 1/2" x 2", with sight measurements of 1 7/8" x 1 3/8". It is in very nice antique condition, although I think that the piece may have been mounted in an album or similar at some point. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a wonderful addition to your collection of antique photographs!
*****I am definitely not an expert on photography, so if anyone has any additional information about this piece, I would really appreciate it.*****
