18th Century Engraving Gentleman Gerbrand van Leeuwen Portrait
Antique engraving of a portrait of a handsome gentleman wearing an elaborate curly wig. Below the oval portrait on the left is printed: "A. Boonen pinxit." and on the right is: "Édelinck Equis Romanus Sculpsit C. P. R". I found this engraving on the web identified as "Gerbrand van Leeuwen, 1643 - 1721. Professor in Amsterdam". I don't know the exact date this was printed, but it dates from the early 1700's. This is guaranteed to be an original 18th c. engraving.
