Vintage Painting Beautiful Young Woman Gouache Watercolor Fashion Illustration

Vintage gouache or opaque watercolor painting of a young woman wearing a white dress and gloves with a blue ruffled collar and hat. It is in it's original ornate plaster over wood frame. Her hat has a flower rising up from the front. She had coquettishly lowered her gaze so just her eyebrows are visible. She looks like a French fashion illustration. It is painted on light brown paper with darker brown vertical striping. It is unsigned. C.1940.

Dimensions: Outer frame size - 14" x 12". Sight or front opening of frame - 11 3/4" x 9 3/4".

Condition: The plaster of the frame has some cracking from age. There are no chips. The painting itself is in excellent condition. The paper covering the back of the frame is mostly missing. It hasn't been examined out of the frame.
